Killer Meanjin garage-rock duo The Far Outs recently released their amazing eponymous debut album (out through cool US indie Ripple Music), and to celebrate are hitting the 4120 to tear us all a new one!
They’ve been peddling their authentic brand of old-timey goodness on the scene for a few years now and the debut is a cracker – cool Canadian blog Tinnitist made it AOTW and gushed “Meet your new favourite garage-rock band – a Brisbane duo who deliver a different kind of thunder from Down Under on their slamming, sweat-soaked debut album” – so if old-school garage acts like The Sonics, The Kinks and The Easybeats float your boat try the local variant, it’s world class!
