SPIRIT BUNNY HIT THE 4120!
A few months back local experimental noise-rockers Spirit Bunny released their second album ‘Uncanny Valley’ (through rising local label Zang Records) and to to these ears it’s proved one of the sleeper hit albums of 2021, not just from our awesome local scene but over the year in general!
It’s a huge leap forward from their great 2017 self-titled debut in both scope and execution, a collection of avant-pop songs both weird and immediate with strong melodies, squelching casios and C64 synths intertwining atop crisp, beguiling rhythms to form intoxicating aural soundscapes, a strange but entrancing journey indeed.
Spirit Bunny features members from a swathe of other Brisbane bands such as A Country Practice, Feet Teeth, Terra Pines, Ghost Notes, Tape/Off and more, come on down and support these stalwarts of the local scene you might just discover your new favourite Brisband!
