Felicity Urquhart and Josh Cunningham (of The Waifs) have created a sacred place in the hearts of those who cross their path with their candid and charming music and storytelling. Their new album Birdsong (releasing 29 Sept.) is a 10-track celebration about conquering the cage and finding your voice, delivered with the masterful songwriting and musicianship listeners have come to expect from the pair. Rooted in the Blues, Country, and Folk traditions, their music is subtle and arresting, weighty and spacious, and always delivered with compelling honesty.
With 13 Golden Guitars to her name Felicity Urquhart long ago cemented her status as Australian country music royalty, while Josh Cunningham is founding bassist for ARIA Award-winning indie-folk trio The Waifs. The pair’s debut album The Song Club was released in 2021 and was nominated for an ARIA as well as winning an AIRA ward for Best Independent Country Album.
