The Goldhearts bring their brand of guitar-driven indie pop, heavy in harmonies and twinged with twang, to an instore at Sonic Sherpa on Sunday 6 June to launch their latest single ‘Verona With A V’.
The third single from the forthcoming eco-anxiety themed EP documents how the relentless bullying of Corona by the vixenous Verona (and friends) impels her to escape her confines and break out into the community where as they say .. the rest is history.
‘Verona With A V’ has been described as a great bop of a track and will debut live along with the double A-side 2020 lockdown vinyl singles ‘Shooter’s Party’ and ‘Beach Butts’. Ben Jones will join his former Godnose and Dream Poppies band mates to play some trumpet in a couple of tracks so that Margy can focus on her guitar and vocals.
This is the first live show for the band who were separated by border closures for most of 2020 and the only Brisbane show for some time as drummer Claire is expecting a baby Goldheart in July.
