One of the ‘90s’ great heavy albums, the 1998 self-titled debut by Palm Desert-born rockers Queens Of The Stone Age has been given a new 2-LP reissue by indie legends Matador Records, aping the tracklist of the 2011 reissue which provided three extra tracks!
Despite QOTSA’s amazing career to follow their debut remains the favourite of many discerning punters (ie. me) and is still beloved by critics – plus Pitchfork reckoned in 2011 that “the revised tracklist provides a more accurate portrait of how the band molded its mercurial Desert Sessions experiments into chiseled hard-rock monoliths” – so travel back to the earliest days of the Stone Age and revel in the rock power!
