Due: 20 Sep
US surf-punk act FIDLAR have announced their first full-length album in over five years. The album is titled Surviving The Dream, and it’s set to release on September 20. The first two singles off of the album are currently available. In addition to the release of the first two singles, a music video for one of the songs (“Fix Me”) and a visualizer for the other (“Get Off My Wave”) have also been released.
Surviving The Dream will be their long-awaited fourth studio LP and their first in over five years. It features 13 tracks. The album was self-produced and self-recorded at Balboa Recording Studio in East Los Angeles. It is an embrace of their DIY roots and a reaction to the youthful kinetic energy packed into rooms at their recent live shows. It’s also a reckoning with both aging and evolving after they found themselves faced with existential downtime several years ago that was brought on by a planned hiatus which was then prolonged by the pandemic.
