Award-winning singer-songwriter Fanny Lumsden and Dan Stanley Freeman have written and produced a short 10-minute documentary, a brilliant behind the scenes snapshot of writing and recording Lumsden’s critically-acclaimed Top 10 album Fallow in their stone hut – while also having to deal with the mega fire that surrounded their small Snowy Mountains community of the Tooma Valley last Summer.
The new documentary, Mountain Mama Take Me Home – Fallow & The Tooma Valley, is an emotional ride that captures the beautiful scenery of the valley, the devastating effects of the fires, snippets of life on the road, and the spirit of a tight-knit community coming together.
Fanny and husband Dan run their own Record Label and Production company Red Dirt Road Records and their hugely successful touring brand The Country Halls Tour which in its 8th year has brought live original music to over 130 halls throughout regional and remote Australian, all which is no small feat for a self-managed artist.
