We’re beyond stoked that beloved Newcastle punks These New South Whales will be celebrating their epic fourth album Godspeed on its actual release date (ie. Friday 28 November) with a free, all ages performance and signing in the 4120! And it’s our 10th birthday! And it’s Black Friday RSD! W the actual F?
Godspeed trades their usual modes of dread and anxiety for a new found self assurance. It calls for a rejection of follow-the-leader mentality in favour of autonomy and intuition, with TNSW’s signature knack for balancing harsh reality with comic relief.
Musically the album pulls from an even broader church of influences, from ’80s balladry and British guitar pop to full-throttle hardcore, the result of a fruitful partnership with producer and punk luminary Ben Greenberg (Depeche Mode, Drab Majesty, Show Me The Body).
They’re loud, brash, hilarious and coming to Stones Corner to entertain you and sign your copies of Godspeed – noting that we’ll have exclusive inspire vinyl variants available on the day – and all you have to do is turn up! Sweet deal!
