Meanjin mainstays Tape/Off recently released their alt-rock tour de force third album Fort Sensible (on shop-based indie imprint Coolin’ By Sound), and as part of the national launch celebrations will be hitting Sonic Sherpa for a free, all ages masterclass from 2pm on Sunday 11 May!
Described by Backseat Mafia as “like journeying across the wide open landscapes of Australia where the scenery dramatically changes and yet remains breathtaking and stunning throughout”, Fort Sensible debuted at #4 on the 100% Indie AIR Album chart (#7 on overall AIR chart) and it was made AOTW (or Feature Album) on community radio stations 4ZZZ (where it also went to #1 on the weekly Top 20 chart), 2SER (Sydney) and EdgeFM (Hobart). This is the real deal.
They’re an amazing live proposition, and are launching the album in Brisbane the night before (ie Sat 10 May) in an incredible FREE EXTRAVAGANZA at Soapbox Beer in the Valley – a double-album launch with their labelmates Velociraptor, finally making their ‘Computer Future’ opus official – as well as a rad line-up for locals in The Blankettes, Special Features and Mr Finn! Numbers are limited, head to Humanitix to register for your FREE spot amongst the action! Then come to the instore!
