Meanjin four-piece Platonic Sex have been a pivotal part of the local scene for years, and after a steady stream of awesome EPs and singles are finally ready to launch their excellent debut album Face To The Flywire (out Fri 19 Sep on their own Platonic Sex imprint)!
The album is a batch of distinctly Queensland tales about coming of age in SEQ, a sub-tropical quest for identity and self set to music which crafts a new sound from their individual music backgrounds (in jazz, folk and other touring acts) sunbleached by the spirit of the community they live in: languorous, warm, isolated, intimate.
