Old Mervs arrives as one of the year’s most highly anticipated Australian albums. The Western Australian duo have earned themselves a ferociously devoted fan base since breaking out with punchy surf rock tracks like ‘Cellphone’ and ‘Waiting Around’. It’s a sound originally carved on a farm in Kojonup, a small town southeast of Perth.
Created with freedom and optimism, Old Mervs is, in many ways, a celebration. A celebration of how they got here, a celebration of where they are going, and a loving celebration of their fans – who have been by their side since those early days bashing out tunes on the farm. “It’s written for them as much as it’s written for us,” Henry says, smiling.
