Almost right on two years ago Sherpa-based label Coolin’ By Sound released the compilation ‘There’s A Name For This Feeling: The Songs of Adam Gibson’ by the titular Sydney spoken-word songsmith, which debuted at #1 on the AIR 100% Independent Album Chart before COVID hit and state border shutdowns meant that he never got to properly launch the beautiful 2-LP collection (which features the cream of the songs he recorded over a 20-year career with the bands Modern Giant, The Aerial Maps and The Ark-Ark Birds).

Now with Adam finally back in town with The Aerial Maps (who are supporting the great Halfway), he’s going to come into Sonic Sherpa with the band and play a set in belated celebration of his wonderful ‘best of’ collection, a beautiful collection of songs which dissect the minutiae of the Australian experience in a unique and beguiling manner all Adam’s own!
