BRISBANE RECLINK COMM CUP ‘26!
Huzzah! The now annual convergence of local music and sport, the Brisbane Reclink Community Cup returns on Sunday 26 July at Everton Wolves JAFC in Enoggera! Let me count the reasons you should come:
(1) it’s super fun
(2) the mixed gender modified AFL game pits Brisbane musicians (The Rocking Horses) against Brisbane music media (The Brisbane Lines), which while tribal has formed a beautiful symbiotic rivalry
(3) there is rad live music in the form of local rising stars Bean Magazine, SUPER HOTEL and Dirty Harry
(4) the national theme this year is ‘(I’m) Stranded’ celebrating 50 years of the Brisbane punk epic
(5) all funds raised go to Reclink Australia to help underprivileged members of society
(6) it’s dog friendly and boy are there dogs!
(7) delicious food trucks

(9) Belly is once again playing the disheveled MC keeping his unbroken streak of playing/MCing alive
(10) the ground is picturesque making for a wonderfully relaxing experience

(12) it’s the 10th anniversary which is a wonderful achievement for all involved, especially behind the scenes
